A handful of millennials can reminisce about simpler days spent watching the students of Bayside High School navigate a world of innocent teenage problems on the hit television series Saved by the Bell. A diner in Chicago currently catered to this generation with its restaurant called Saved by the Max, a complete replica of the popular 90s diner, The Max, which served as the main hangout for Zack and the gang on the show.
The entire diner is decked out with the bright colors and funky pattern cutouts that were signature staples of The Max. Kick back in red-vinyl seating while you groove to the tunes of the Zack Attack and Hot Sundae playing from the jukebox.
Themed entrees include AC Sliders, Mac & Screech and Mr. Belding´s fries. Additional dishes and beverages are named after the various teachers and other minor characters who appeared throughout the show’s run in the early 1990s.
Located in Chicago´s Wicker Park neighborhood, Saved by the Max hosts trivia nights on Tuesday. Brush up on your Bayside High knowledge and stop in for a Leon Carosi mimosa!
