Participating in a live studio audience for a television show is an exhilarating experience and NBC Studios in New York City is the perfect place to have your face broadcast nationwide. With plenty of shows to choose from day or night, attending a broadcast can fit into almost anyone’s schedule.
I had the pleasure of receiving tickets to Megyn Kelly Today. The process of attaining these tickets was a lot easier than I thought. Using the website 1Iota.com, you simply make an account and request free tickets for days available.
My friend and I arrived at 30 Rockefeller Center early in the morning; we went through security and waited patiently in the “Peacock Room” before attendants brought us to the set. We were ecstatic when we were the lucky guests chosen to be seated behind the host. This guaranteed us making an appearance on screen for our families to see.
Crewmembers ran around the studio getting everything ready for the broadcast to begin. We received directions to have overly exaggerated expressions because it looks better for the camera and next thing we knew, we were live.
The show was fun, colorful and energetic. During commercial breaks, crewmembers rushed by us with new set pieces and props to set the stage for the next segment. During the final commercial break, we were instructed to cheer loud as they announced what our special giveaway was — $100 gift cards for Zumba athletic wear. Megyn Kelly did a quick Q&A with the audience before we were escorted out of the studio and the show was done.
The overall experience was amazing. A free show and a giveaway was the perfect way to spend the morning in New York City.
