Staying safe while traveling is incredibly important, but it’s also easier said than done. Mimiq strives to make staying safe a little easier, though. The Mimiq brand offers a range of products, but Mimiq GO is especially well-suited to travelers. The device essentially works as a tracker, communicating with an app on your phone to tell you when your items or items around you are moved or shifted.

You can place your Mimiq device in your bag or suitcase, and the app will let you know if the item moves even slightly. You can also place your Mimiq GO in your hotel room and set it to alert you if someone enters the space. If the device senses movement, it’ll alert you someone’s intruded. You can even attach the device — via a reusable sticky pad — to vertical items like hotel doors to alert you if the door opens.

Beyond just alerting you via an app notification, if the device senses movement or entry, you can also set the device to sound an alarm or turn on a light. And, while not yet available, an upcoming update will soon allow you to set the device to send alerts to family members and friends as well, so they can likewise be notified of any disturbances.

Do you frequently travel where you’re outside of cell range? Mimiq GO can also stay connected to you via Bluetooth, as well as when you’re out of Bluetooth range, via the Helium or LoRaWAN networks.
