MOB Coworking Space, Barcelona, Spain

The recent explosion of “digital nomads” in Barcelona ushered in just as many coworking spaces to accommodate these remote workers. One of the more inconspicuous spaces is called MOB, short for “Makers of Barcelona.” This part café, part co-working space has three Barcelona locations in Eixample, El Born and Sant Antoni.

Each coworking space features the remote workstation basics: high-speed internet, conference rooms, Skype booths and printing and scanning services. Members can also receive legal advice from in-house lawyers, and, with some levels of membership, members can access all three locations.

All membership levels include the basics, plus mail pickup and invitations to all of MOB’s social and professional events. Daily memberships are also available when you need a break from your apartment, hotel room or the local café. Visit for a day for €15.

For a fixed desk membership with 24-hour access to the space, the monthly cost is €190, but there’s also an option for a “hot desk,” which allows limited access for half days only and costs €65 per month.

There are also plans for those setting up or who own their own businesses, and these members at the highest level are granted access to a private office.
