Lunchboxes have a long way to go in terms of style and fashion. There’s never really been a ‘cool’ lunchbox on the market, but Modern Picnic is turning things around.
These sustainable lunch bags look like a purse, not a lunchbox. The vegan leather bag with an insulated interior could easily be spotted on the arm of a celeb out and about or in a designer window.
There are two different sizes, the Luncher ($149), which looks more like a purse, and then the Snacker ($49), which is styled similarly, but in a size more similar to a clutch. It still boasts the same vegan leather and gold or silver finishes, but it’s just a pouch that could fit anything that you’d normally put in a disposable quart plastic bag.
The Luncher size features elastic silverware slots (so you can even be sustainable and plastic-free in that regard), a slip pocket and the overall insulated interior that’s the perfect size for your average meal prep container. The Luncher comes in beige, black, blush, navy, dark brown and hunter green.
The Snacker comes in the same colors, but doesn’t have any extra pockets. It’s just one wipeable, insulated interior that can fit some sliced fruit or a sandwich, nothing big.
The Modern Picnic lunchbox options are a bit pricier than what you’d find at your local department store, but you get what you pay for. In this case, that’s a stylish lunchbox both functional and, admittedly, cool.
While your first inclination might be panic when you map out the various appointments and meetings on your upcoming business trip, relax. Trust us, a rental car has you covered.
