People use money transfer apps for many different things, like splitting bills among roommates. In college, we always had one person put bills in their name and then we would Venmo them the amount due that month. Also, a lot of college landlords accept rent payments through money transfer apps.

One of the most popular is Venmo. On Venmo, you can search for people or take a picture of their accounts to pull up their profile. Venmo also connects your profile to your Facebook friends and the phone numbers in your phone, which makes it easier to find friends. Venmo makes it simple to send money and indicate what it is for. You can make transfers private or public.

Another popular app is Cash App. Not as popular as Venmo, it is still user-friendly and easy to send and receive money. Cash App has the same functions as Venmo.
