Monq Essential Oil Diffusers are a product popularly promoted by Instagrammers and YouTube artists, props to Monq’s marketing team. Just because these are sometimes paid promotions doesn’t mean you should overlook them.

Monq’s products are essential oil diffuser pens you breathe in through your mouth, and exhale through your nose. The goal is to absorb essential oils, slow down your breathing and relax. They are not to be confused with any tobacco or marijuana products of the same nature, and they make that clear on the website.

They have seven different blends, each with different essential oils aimed at putting you in a different mood. The blends include happy, zen, healthy, sexy, vibrant, sleepy and active. For example, happy contains fennel, thyme and vanilla, and vibrant contains ginger, lemon and spearmint. These flavors can be perfect for an extra kick in the morning or to cool nerves before an interview.

At $20 a pen, the product isn’t cheap, but when your package arrives in the mail you’ll be impressed by the quality. Breathing in the device is fun, the little jewel on the end lights up when activated, a nice added feature.

Most of the calming effects may be credited to deep breathing, change of mindset and pleasant aroma. Monq says the product should last three to four weeks with consistent use, but can last longer if you use them sporadically.

Monq is also currently releasing three new blends in an earthy “feel nature” package, including mountain, forest and ocean.
