Viña del Mar is a charming coastal city located in central Chile. It’s home to many beachside attractions and plenty of cultural activities. Check out these spots when documenting your visit on Instagram.

Flower Clock

The famous, and fully functioning, clock made from flowers sits atop a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It’s a popular spot for tourists to take photos, so prepare to wait a few minutes to get a solo shot of the clock.

Viña del Mar is known for its delectable seafood dishes. Make sure to visit any of the many local restaurants specializing in regional seafood preparations. Try Divino Pecado for classic dishes like ceviche or machas a la parmesana, Chilean clams with Parmesan sauce.

Wulff Castle

Situated on the coast, stop at Wulff Castle. The historic building was built for a German family, hence the European-style architecture. Today, the castle serves as the cultural center for the city.

Sheraton Miramar Hotel & Convention Center

For a room with a view, book a stay at this beachfront property. All guestrooms in the hotel feature ocean views, perfect for snapping a shot from your balcony during sunset.

Quinta Vergara Park

Viña del Mar isn’t just about beautiful beaches. Make a stop at this park during your visit. With lush gardens, there are plenty of opportunities for a great Instagram shot here.

Enjoy the Open Road on Your Terms

For most of us, time in the car is “me time.” You can listen to that podcast you’re captivated by, blast that pop song and sing along at the top of your lungs or listen to the next chapter in that biography e-book you’re almost finished. A road trip only amplifies those opportunities. So, next time you’re traveling by road, take the wheel and take control. Opt for a rental car on your next vacation, rather than a rideshare, taxi or public transportation, and enjoy the open road on your own terms.
