TravelBird recently pulled together a report on the most Instagrammed attractions in the world. Using the Instagram API, the study looked at which destinations or attractions produced the most hashtags in the local language. The most Instagrammed attractions in the world, as well as in each state, were reported.
In the United States, the top 10 most Instagrammed attractions were:
- Disneyland
- Walt Disney World
- South Beach
- Las Vegas Strip
- Times Square
- Mardi Gras
- Grand Canyon
- Waikiki
- Yosemite National Park
- Myrtle Beach
In comparison, the top 10 most Instagrammed attractions worldwide were:
- Disneyland
- Eiffel Tower
- Walt Disney World
- South Beach
- Berlin Wall
- Las Vegas Strip
- Big Ben
- Times Square
- Notre Dame
- Oktoberfest
The study also found the average age of Instagram users is 18–29, with 55 percent of users falling in that age range.
