Destinations / North America

There is something about driving during the holidays and seeing all the lights strung across the houses. Holiday lights put you in a great mood; they make me so excited for the holidays. Grab your hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies and head to one of these places to see amazing holiday light shows.

Shady Brook Farm

Shady Brook Farm is located in Yardley, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They have an annual holiday light show that runs Nov. 23–Jan. 5. The drive-through light show is breathtaking and a lot of fun. On Nov. 22, right before the light show opens, participate in Dashin’ thru the … Lights!, an annual event where you can do a two-mile fun run through the holiday lights.

Hershey Park

Deck the halls at Hershey Park this holiday season. Hershey Park stays open for the holidays and decorates the whole park. Take a walk down down Candylane and enjoy all the lights. During the winter months not all the rides stay open, but there are still a good amount if you are looking for some thrills.

Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at Atlanta Botanical Garden

During the holiday months plan a trip to Atlanta to visit the botanical garden for its Garden Lights, Holiday Nights event. They added some new features this year and are ready to ring in the holidays.

Zoo Lights at Washington Smithsonian’s National Zoo

Lions, tigers and lights, oh my! Head to the Smithsonian National Zoo and check out Zoolights. Wander through the Gingerbread Village, enjoy delicious cookies and watch animals come to life in the laser light show. Enjoy live music, winter treats and holiday shoppi
