Finishing touches? Check! Costa Rica’s Nayara Tented Camp completed phase two of its expansion, adding a main common area with a reception tent, a bar, a lounge, a restaurant, swimming pool and fire pit. New accommodations include two four-bedroom tented residences, six two-bedroom tents and eight additional stand-alone tents. Israeli Chef Yanir Elnasi leads Ayla, the new restaurant.
The two new private residences, Casa Paloma and Casa Dana, comfortably sleep eight adults and four small children, with two main tents connected by a large terrace, and boasting a stocked kitchen, living area and large TV. Outdoors, find an oversized pool, fire pit, dining area and lounge chairs with umbrellas. A personal concierge will help customize stays.
The tent camp sits near six hot spring pools in the rain forest, offering a spot to spend time among the springs, all at a slightly different temperature, from cool to piping hot. A bartender is also on hand and, at night, string lights illuminate the area.
With the expansion comes new experiences created for Nayara Tented Camp guests, including:
- Frog watching expeditions
- Plant-a-Tree Day
- Friday visits to La Fortuna farmers market
- Birdwatching
- Botanical experience with a naturalist guide
- The Secret Life of Tony, the Sloth, which includes an in-depth look at a sloth that has lived at the resort for years
