New Luxury Hotel Opens in Former LIFE Magazine Building

Stay in the former headquarters of LIFE Magazine when you book your next trip to New York City. Luxe Life Hotel New York, the first Luxe Hotels-branded property in the city, sits in the NoMad neighborhood. The luxury and pet-friendly guestrooms and suites offer lots of history, charm and modern conveniences.

The building was used by LIFE Magazine as early as 1895, when the famous artists, writers and creative staff shared offices in the building and also lived in the building’s apartments.

In addition to the unique guestrooms, the property will also offer a signature restaurant, The Marilyn, offering new American cuisine, and a speakeasy inspired by a rumored prohibition-era speakeasy supposedly in the hotel’s basement.

Not planning a trip to New York City anytime soon? You can experience the rapidly growing Luxe Hotels brand elsewhere. The first Luxe Hotels property opened in Europe last year in Rome, as Luxe Rose Garden Roma. The company’s flagship property, Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel in Beverly Hills, is working on a renovation this spring.
