A Year of Celebrations in Rio
For 2023, Copacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Rio de Janeiro celebrates its 100th birthday and, as such, the property has a slew of events planned. Check out what’s on the calendar during your visit or be sure to attend the Copa Ball in February.
An Expansion of the Arts
This year, Belmond expands its MITICO program, in partnership with Galleria Continua, resulting in artistic installations and programming across the globe. For the first time, the program will launch at Belmond properties in the United Kingdom, Spain and Brazil.
An Iconic Property Reopens
In May 2023, Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, reopens in Mexico. The Riviera Maya property has been completely reimagined to now include 10 waterfront suites, new wellness offerings and more.

A Belmond Boat Launches
Also in May 2023, Belmond’s Coquelicot, A Belmond Boat, Champagne, launches for the first time, taking to the waters and hosting guests across three luxury cabins. The luxury barge also features an indoor salon with its own Champagne bar. Amenities during a stay include private, Champagne-pairing lunches and guided tours.
