Headed to New Orleans this summer? Check out these new experiences and activities.
This new museum opened last year, so if you haven’t been to New Orleans since the COVID-19 pandemic started, you’ll want to add it to your itinerary. Following the history, customs and traditions of Southern Jews, it looks at a different side of Southern identity.
Zip NOLA is a new and fun attraction that takes you on an hour-plus exploration of the swamplands, just 26 miles from downtown New Orleans. The attraction offers views of the city skyline, Maurepas Swamp and Lake Pontchartrain.
Located within Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans, Vue Orleans is an indoor-outdoor observation deck providing 360-degree, riverfront views of the city (and it’s the only 360-degree observatory in New Orleans). The observation deck also features a cultural exhibit celebrating the city’s diversity.
At New Orleans Museum of Art, if you visit before July 17, you’ll have the chance to check out Queen Nefertari’s Egypt exhibit, on loan from Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy. The exhibit includes more than 200 items.
