My husband and I recently visited Atlantic City, New Jersey, for his company’s work function. We stayed at the Ocean Resort Casino for our one-night stay.
The hotel is housed in the building formerly occupied by Revel Casino Hotel, which closed in 2014 after declaring bankruptcy. The property reopened as Ocean Resort Casino in June 2018. We visited Revel for a concert years ago and were disappointed it closed, so we were excited to experience the new property on an overnight visit.
We were in a bit of a rush, so we opted for valet parking instead of the self-park option. The building is large and, upon entering, we took the elevator to the lobby level. Check-in was speedy and we were in our room on the sixth floor in no time. Our guestroom featured a king-sized bed and large bathroom with a separate shower. The room boasted an ocean view, which was beautiful despite our evening arrival.
After attending the event, we made our way back to the hotel and straight to the casino. My husband is more of a risk-taker than I, so he played a few hands of blackjack while I watched. After breaking even, we decided to grab a late-night bite at the on-site Zhen Bang Noodles and Sushi. We split veggie spring rolls, a sushi roll and some noodles with beef. On our way back to our room, we stopped at the conveniently located gift shop for a couple bottles of water.
We left early the next day. Retrieving our car was efficient and less expensive than we expected. We both commented on how much we enjoyed our brief stay and that we look forward to our next visit.
