The new hotel from Lore Group, with properties including Sea Containers London, Pulitzer Amsterdam, Riggs Washington DC and Lyle Washington DC, One Hundred Shoreditch is now accepting reservations ahead of its February opening. One Hundred Shoreditch aims to reflect how the area has evolved in the last decade, capturing Shoreditch’s new grown-up feel while retaining its buzz and vibrance.
The 258 guestrooms and suites boast neutral color schemes, original abstract art, custom furnishings and vintage pieces; some boast large terraces with London skyline views. The property will also feature the largest choice of restaurants and bars within one hotel in the area: three bars, a restaurant, a coffee shop and a take-out hatch.
The on-site coffee shop uses local roasters Ozone Coffee, while Goddard & Gibbs, inspired by England’s fishing villages, will be a casual, all-day spot serving British seafood. The Wine Bar allows guests a space to wind down, with modern, forward-thinking wines and sharing plates. Hatch, an addition to the restaurant, will offer seafood and snacks on the go on Shoreditch High Street. At Seed Library, in the basement, drinks visionary Ryan “Mr. Lyan” Chetiyawardana creates new takes on favorite drinks alongside a handpicked selection of beer and wine. The Rooftop’s panoramic views of East London are complemented by Champagnes, sparkling wines, cocktails and spritzes. The area, designed to feel like a private garden, can be reserved for events. Acting as the hotel living room, grab drinks and Neapolitan pizzas in The Lobby Bar.
Five meeting and event spaces, including one with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the skyline, will suit everything from private dinners to weddings.
“We’re super excited about the opening of One Hundred Shoreditch and seeing the new spaces come to life,” said Mark Jonathan Heyburn, hotel manager, One Hundred Shoreditch. “The team and I can’t wait to start welcoming guests in February and showcasing the hotel to our neighbors and community.”
The hotel is also committed to helping the local community, partnering with Spitalfields Crypt Trust, helping people facing homelessness and addiction; and REFUGE, providing support to victims of domestic violence and abuse.
With the hotel’s opening offer, reserve guestrooms from $232.
My husband and I recently dined at Brother Seafood Restaurant in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, for a dim sum brunch. The restaurant came recommended by neighbors as a great, local dim sum spot. The full menu is quite extensive, though for this visit, we only wanted to sample dim sum.
