Getting a good brew when you’re on the road can make a big difference, and the Oomph 2.0 coffeemaker means you can make coffee wherever you are.

It pressure brews coffee in the same way as a machine, and you’ll have a hot cuppa ready in just 30 seconds, according to the company. Just add coffee and hot water, wait until it brews and then press the cap to pour your drink into a cup.

This is the second iteration of the Oomph, and the first one got rave reviews. It sold more than 50,000 units in 17 different countries, so it is thoroughly road tested.

Thermal insulation keeps your coffee warm for hours, and a tight seal means it won’t spill even during active pursuits. Use the Oomph 2.0 as a travel mug in everyday situations, and then to brew your coffee when you are out in the wilderness.

It’s fairly expensive as a travel mug, but as a coffee-making solution for off-the-grid travel it becomes a cheap, useful purchase. The coffeemaker on its own will set you back about $79 and you can add accessories for an extra cost. It is due to ship in November 2020.

How to Explore Neuschwanstein Castle

Most people know Neuschwanstein Castle as Walt Disney’s inspiration for both Cinderella’s and Sleeping Beauty’s castles, but it is also filled with history and stories from German royalty. In 1868, King Ludwig II began construction of the medieval-style castle to live in. Sadly, it wasn’t finished before he died, so the king never got to see the finished product. Today, the castle is privately owned, but travelers can still explore it on a guided audio tour.
