Don’t forget to celebrate National Dog Day, Aug. 26, by planning a getaway with your four-legged best friend.

Hyatt Centric Las Olas

The Fort Lauderdale resort always invites guests to B.Y.O.D. (a.k.a., bring your own dog) and is excited to celebrate the holiday with its furry guests. The first five lucky pups to check in to Hyatt Centric Las Olas on National Dog Day receive a paw-some treat. There are plenty of activities for guests and their pups to engage in, from the resort’s proximity to the area’s best dog beach to Barkyard N’ Brews dog park to plenty of restaurants and boutiques. Spend the day cooling off at Elev8, the sleek pool and bar, while enjoying hand-crafted cocktails and light bites. The resort welcomes two pets per room up to 50 pounds, with an additional fee per pet that includes dog bowls and treats.

W Punta de Mita

W Punta de Mita, a chic beach resort, lies on Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit and offers an exotic escape for travelers, where guests and their pets are treated like VIPs. The PAW (Pets are Welcome) program makes your furry friend feel at home with a custom dog bed, food and water bowls, toys and a special treat at night. Guests can spend the day catching some waves, hanging at the WET Deck pool area, indulging in spa treatments and enjoying delicious meals at a variety of restaurants — don’t worry, your four-legged friend is welcome at all activities.

AC Hotel Columbus Downtown

Travelers and their pups can experience all of the action while staying at AC Hotel Columbus Downtown, in the middle of the city’s art and arena districts. Check out the Bring Your Fur Baby package to make your dog feel extra special. Your pet will be greeted with a plush dog bed, doggie bowls and pup cookies from a local bakery.
