If you don’t have access to a personal trainer, you can use fitness apps to keep your workouts on track. Here are some of the best.

Map My Fitness can be used to track hundreds of different sports, setting goals for yourself and tracking your cycling or running routes. It also links with MyFitnessPal, a calorie-tracking app that will help eat right.

The Yoga Studio app is a great choice for beginners and those who want to take their practice to the next level. If offers guided yoga classes you can follow on a device of your choice, and you can also select specific exercises to build a personalized workout. You can get a trial version for free and then pay a sliding fee based on how much you want to use it.

Couch to 5K is an app that aims to build the habit of exercise into users’ daily routines, and it’s perfect for complete beginners. Exercises build from walking to jogging to running over a nine=week program, with a five-kilometer run the ultimate goal.

If weight training is your game, download the StrongLifts 5 x 5 app. Based on the five sets of five reps training concept, you will be guided through a number of workouts. It also has tracking features and periodic progress reports.
