Blood circulation is an ever-present concern, especially for people who sit for long periods of time for work or travel. If you’re preparing for a long trip, make sure to pick up some compression socks to keep blood flowing.
Compression socks work by physically squeezing legs to encourage blood flow back toward the heart. Compression socks help with fitness and wellness, reduce the chances of deep vein thrombosis and clots and more.
Generally speaking, you can get compression socks nearly anywhere. Sporting goods stores like Dicks Sporting Goods carry many different varieties. If you are doing some last-minute packing and realize you have some things you still need to pack, consider swinging by a drug store. Pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens carry affordable socks, but the variety will definitely be smaller than it is in athletic stores.
My favorite are definitely copper-infused socks. I started out using these socks for running, but they quickly became a regular item I packed on trips. There are also claims the copper in these compression socks can help eliminate foot odor, so if foot odor is a concern, consider checking these out.
