Learning a foreign language takes a long time, and those visiting multiple countries where different languages are spoken in one trip can’t realistically learn all of them before they go.
Fortunately, technology can help us out, and the increasing use of artificial intelligence enabled a raft of translation devices to reach the market. Wooask is one such device, a palm-sized AI translator that speaks 126 languages and can also translate images in 24 languages.
It connects to 4G, WiFi and hotspot connections for easy accessibility and boasts a 3.1-inch screen to display results.
Simply hold the camera up to a menu and Wooask will translate it into the language of your choice, or record as someone is talking and watch as their translated words appear on the screen.
The Wooask retails for $101 after successfully finding funding on Kickstarter. Deliveries reportedly began in January. While there are translation apps available on many smart devices, the Wooask should offer more accurate results. Using a dedicated device also means you can use your phone for other tasks at the same time.
