The Queen’s Garden Resort on Saba is a relaxing hotel and spa that offers some of the best accommodations on the island. It features 12 distinct suites, each occupying its own level and most offering panoramic views of the island. The suite I shared with my friends even contained a private Jacuzzi with views overlooking the rainforest.
Not only did the resort offer a pick-up from the airport, we were also cheerfully greeted upon arrival and given a rundown of the resort and island life. Our suite was spacious, but not huge. The furniture was modern but still homey, offering a home away from home and relaxing atmosphere. Saba is not a large place, so it was great many of the amenities anyone could need were offered on site at the resort.
Queen’s Garden boasts the only spa on the island, though we did not have an opportunity to give it a try. The on-site restaurant provided an incredibly romantic atmosphere both in the evenings and morning and the menu was an impressive array of international cuisine. The terrace lounge bar was where we spent most of our time. It overlooked the ocean and had plenty of cushy seating, plus excellent drinks.
The staff was particularly accommodating and friendly, and even went above and beyond to help book a few excursions for us while there, including a diving trip. I would absolutely recommend it to a friend and will happily return there if I ever make it back to Saba.
