The historic building first opened in 1905 as a family boarding house. Now, the hotel welcomes guests from across the country. In addition to its cozy rooms, this winter Callicoon Hills adds 10 A-frame glamping cabins, a yoga deck and sauna to the property.
Callicoon Hills boasts many outdoor communal spaces, a seasonal pool, patios with firepits and Adirondack chairs, and covered porches with rocking chairs. Nearby, guests can enjoy a lake and creek for countless activities. From hiking and swimming to fishing and birdwatching, the 23 acres of Callicoon Hills make nature each guest’s playground. Outside the property, guests can venture to Callicoon town for an array of shopping and drinking options, as well as a local farmers market and historic Callicoon Theater.

The property also offers a seasonally driven restaurant and café, open to both guests and locals. Conover Club Restaurant serves brunch and dinner, with comfortable and relaxing seating at the bar, in the dining room or on the outdoor porch. Highlighted dishes include fresh soups and salads, roasted chicken, steak frites, vegan tacos and more. For breakfast, Rise & Shine Coffee Shop offers seasonal selections of both hot and cold breakfasts, as well as coffee and other espresso drinks.
