Fight hangovers in a new, science-backed way with RePear, a two-stage drink mix. Here’s how it works.
RePear is taken two hours before drinking alcoholic beverages and then immediately after you’re finished drinking alcoholic beverages. Before drinking, RePear assists your body in storing extra vitamins, minerals and nutrients that are lost when drinking to help you better metabolize alcohol. Then, when you take it after drinking, you get an additional boost of vitamins and minerals to help your liver better produce alcohol-metabolizing enzymes and to speed up the detoxification of acetaldehyde. Beyond just helping your liver, the product also claims it protects your brain, decreasing alcohol withdrawal symptoms such as headaches, poor sleep quality, anxiety and agitation.
According to RePear (named after the Korean pear), its ingredients have been shown to reduce hangover symptoms by up to 21 percent. Korean pears specifically help you metabolize alcohol faster and eliminate acetaldehyde. Other ingredients include prickly pear extract, milk thistle and alpha lipoid acid, which all help protect your liver. Ginger root and turmeric fight nausea, and chamomile promotes relaxation and better sleep. Plus, RePear has more electrolytes than most sports drinks, but does not include any preservatives, food colorings or artificial sugars.
RePear was recently launched on Indiegogo, with a funding goal of $25,000, reached within just one month. As part of the launch, RePear was offered to retailers and distributers, so you may be able to find it on your store shelves soon. A set of eight servings of RePear goes for $50.
