Rice Noodles Pub is located on the bustling Zhengyang Pedestrian Street in Guilin and is a popular spot among travelers and expats in the city. The pub serves up a variety of Asian dishes and offers a modern, stylish atmosphere where it’s easy to eat and mingle.
The food is high quality, but not exceptionally unique or inventive. The fried rice noodles with beef were cooked perfectly, tasty and well worth the nominal price. The drinks here were cheap, which explains why expats love it, and the ginger tea in particular was excellent. They also had a wide variety of both local and German beer. The menu is also translated in English, though the staff doesn’t seem to speak much of the language. It made it easy to order, always a plus.
The seating areas were a bit on the small side, but that seems normal for restaurants on this street. One mildly sour note is it tends to get loud in the evening, so it’s not the place to go if you’re looking for a cozy vibe on the weekend. However, if you’re seeking a night out with friends or wish to chat up the locals or other travelers, it’s more than perfect.
Rice Noodles Pub offers an enjoyable place to spend an evening with tasteful décor, a friendly staff and good food at affordable prices. I would certainly not hesitate to stop by again next time I’m in Guilin, and would recommend it to friends.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network. The airline added new non-stop flights between Newark (EWR) and Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco; Tokyo (NRT) and Cebu (CEB), Philippines; and Houston (IAH) and Medellin (MDE), Colombia. That’s not all: United also plans to increase flights to popular worldwide destinations including Hong Kong (HKG); Seoul (INC), South Korea; and Porto (OPO), Portugal.
