Dream of sailing around the world? A new cruise offering from Oceania may be just the thing. A new, six-month, epic voyage from the luxury cruise line sets sail in 2022, taking travelers to the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Africa and Northern Europe over the course of 180 days.
All in all, this unique cruise will visit six continents, 44 countries, 22 time zones, 43 islands, 91 ports, 19 seas, four oceans and 68 UNESCO World Heritage sites. The cruise sets sail on Oceania’s Insignia ship, heading westward from the West Coast, to Hawai’i, then on to French Polynesia and Fiji. Then, it’s south, to New Zealand’s fjords, before visiting Australia’s reefs, capes and cities. Up travelers go to Asia, with stops in popular destinations such as Bali, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Yangon, before it’s eastward to Africa and the Cape, then its final stops in Europe, with visits to Spain and the Netherlands, among other countries.
“This is one of the most intriguing and all-encompassing world explorations available. Guests will experience a truly unique combination of destinations that includes the South Pacific, Asia, India and even the British Isles,” said Bob Binder, president and CEO, Oceania Cruises. “I think guests will be most delighted by the 12-day, nine-port immersion into Japan as well as the lesser known cultural jewels of western Africa.”
Before you balk at the price, in the tens of thousands of dollars per person, rest assured you’ll be enjoying six months of luxury accommodations, cruising and sightseeing. Amenities during the trip include first-class, round-trip airfare; prepaid gratuities; laundry service; medical care; luggage delivery; and more.
