Same Same But Different, a weekend-long, beach-side festival of music and art, will return this year, celebrating its fourth event in Lake Perris, California. This year’s festival features an upgraded location and elevated experiences, Sept 9–12. Purchase tickets online.
SSBD partnered with Be The Beam’s Chris Racan, who will co-produce the event. Be The Beam is behind both the world’s first NFT-gated festival, Afterparty, and KAABOO music festival. The lineup for this year’s SSBD spans emerging talents, established jam bands, electronic selectors and more; the complete lineup will be announced soon. Educational workshops, yoga and wellness activities, arts and crafts and more, conducted alongside experts in those fields, will also be available.
SSBD takes over the entirety of Lake Perris State Park for the first time, offering palm-tree dotted shores, lush grass areas, electric car camping, backstage VIP experiences, maintained bathrooms and showers, RV parking and hookups, parking shuttles and more.
Camping is encouraged and included with all general admission and VIP passes. Parking and camping add-ons are also available, starting with the Up-Front Gold Parking Pass at $155, including parking adjacent to the campgrounds. At $185, the Campsite + Car-Camping Parking Pass includes parking next to the attendee’s campsite; for $355, the Electric Campsite + Car-Camping Parking Pass reserves a campsite closest to the stages, access to a personal 20-amp power circuit and other nearby access. Or festival-goers can opt for remote lot parking and take shuttle services to campsites. Three different levels of lots and parking passes are offered.
Ticket pricing begins at $225 for general admission; with each ticket purchase, the festival plants groups of trees to help ecosystems and assist populations impacted by deforestation. In 2021, SSBD planted more than 18,000 trees, with a goal of 40,000 for 2022.
