There is nothing worse than being several miles into a hike and realizing you’re hungry and you forgot to pack snacks. Here are a few ideas for quick snacks you can grab to make your next hike more bearable and less hungry.
Trail mix might be the most obvious answer to this question. This great snack is packed with energy and is available just about everywhere. There are also a ton of different varieties with all kinds of different candies, nuts, fruit and more.
Similar in vein to trail mix, granola bars and protein bars are an obvious choice. These are compact and easy to eat, making them perfect for your hiking bag. Just like trail mix, these are available everywhere and come in different kinds.
Jerky is another option chock full of protein for your hike. Make sure to be wary of how much you bring, though, because jerky’s high sodium content can dehydrate you quickly.
Finally, pretzels are a must-have snack for any kind of outing. The snack is versatile and delicious all on its own. Pack some hummus and dip, or grab a few spoonfuls of peanut butter for some quick hits of protein.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
