And it seems travelers are ready: The experts at Wild Frontiers, a tour operator specializing in adventure travel, have seen U.S. bookings to the Silk Road region surge with Uzbekistan leading that growth. As of mid-December 2025, bookings to Uzbekistan were up 20 percent year on year, while Silk Road bookings overall were up 25 percent.
