Spooky season is here and it’s time to get in the Halloween spirit. Start the season off right by exploring some hair-raising sites.
Located in Tallahassee, Florida, the oldest public cemetery is home to the grave of Elizabeth “Bessie” Budd-Graham — a unique memorial for a woman some believe to be a “white witch.” Bessie’s grave is the most-visited gravestone in the cemetery. On the towering tombstone is a strange epitaph sketched on the front. Historians have translated it to mean dark witch references. Many claimed Bessie was a “good witch,” but others are not sure based on the energy felt when visiting the grave.

For a more hands-on experience, dive into the “Graveyard of the Atlantic,” which claimed more than 5,000 ships since the 1500s.

Trendy, clean, modern and inviting are the words that crossed my mind when first entering Condado Ocean Club in Condado, Puerto Rico. The lobby was stunning with large windows that illuminated the white and blue lobby with pops of bright yellow. Two minimal desks housing friendly staff made the check-in process easy. The hotel required our vaccination cards. Everyone staying at the hotel must show proof of vaccination and wear a mask when in common areas.
