A new luxury hotel in Oslo features a unique amenity: the largest city resort wellness space not just in Oslo and not just in Norway, but across all Nordic countries. The hotel, Sommerro, envisions the wellness space as a haven for guests, locals and wellness members.

The wellness space, dubbed Vestkantbadet, sits on the footprint of one of Norway’s last public baths, dating to the 1930s, and stretches across 15,000 square feet of space. It offers spa treatment rooms, a restored Roman bath, fitness center, infrared sauna, cold plunge pool, rooftop pool (the first year-round rooftop pool in Oslo!), sauna and other features. The wellness space even boasts its own signature fragrance.
However, even if guests don’t visit Vestkantbadet during their stay, they’ll experience Sommerro’s commitment to wellness right in their guestrooms, thanks to high-end bedding, bath robes and skincare offered via the vfirst hotel partnership with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare brand.

To celebrate the opening of the property’s new wellness amenities, the hotel offers special wellness experiences. The Light, Power and Warmth experience includes a one-night stay, breakfast, two-course lunch, 50-minute massage and access to all Vestkantbadet amenities. The 8 Hour Rule experience upgrades your stay with a three-course dinner, breakfast and a 50-minute massage. The Bath and Bubbles experience, meanwhile, includes a spa kit, cozy bathrobe and Champagne.
