How much would you spend to go on a dream vacation? How much would you spend to go to just Disney World or Disneyland? According to a new survey, some diehard Disney fans are willing to go the extra mile to afford their dream Disney vacations.
The survey, conducted by TestCasinos, found the average traveler spends nearly $2,400 on a trip to a Disney park, with less than $100 of that set aside for merchandise purchases, and the other $2,300 assumingly going toward park entrance, accommodations, food and travel.
In order to afford the trip, Disney fans are willing to go to extra lengths, the survey noted. It found nearly 40 percent will dip into their savings to go to Disney. About a third reduce daily expenses, such as dining out or entertainment, leading up to a trip. More than a quarter take on a second job, gig work or extra hours at work to make more money to go to their trips. More than 10 percent of travelers actively avoid making other large purchases, such as buying a new car or home, so they can spend more on going to Disney.
