Australia is a wonderful place to study abroad. It has endless, beautiful vistas, gorgeous beaches, vibrant cities and welcoming people. There are many locations available to those looking to make Australia their host country. With that large variety it’s easy to pick a place that suits educational and personal needs. While studying abroad in Australia, it’s the perfect time to partake in activities like surfing or going on a guided tour through the Outback. It’s also a great time to enjoy the delicious foods the country has to offer. There’s so much to explore and discover in Australia.

For anyone studying in Australia for more than three months, students will have to apply for a visa. The process is easy, done online and then virtually linked to your passport. Most countries that require a visa want students to make an appointment with the embassy and then wait anxiously for the visa to come in the mail. But the fee can be daunting, especially for cash-strapped students.

Australia is also an expensive country. Sydney and Melbourne frequently top lists for world’s most expensive cities. For students concerned about money, this might not be the best fit for a study abroad adventure and they might want to consider other, more frugal countries.

The country is huge and includes the Great Barrier Reef, the Outback and modern cities. It’s a lot to explore in a small amount of time so choose wisely when picking a place to study. Take into account the major and the classes offered as well.

Avoid Complete Disaster if Your Purse is Stolen

When you are home and lose your purse, it can be extremely problematic. When you are traveling and it happens, it can be disastrous. While the event itself can't be undone, following a few simple steps can help lessen the sting.

Enjoy the Open Road on Your Terms

For most of us, time in the car is “me time.” You can listen to that podcast you’re captivated by, blast that pop song and sing along at the top of your lungs or listen to the next chapter in that biography e-book you’re almost finished. A road trip only amplifies those opportunities. So, next time you’re traveling by road, take the wheel and take control. Opt for a rental car on your next vacation, rather than a rideshare, taxi or public transportation, and enjoy the open road on your own terms.

What Not To Do in Singapore

Singapore is known for being on the cutting edge of many industries, so it can be strange for foreigners to group the city-state with developing Southeast Asian nations like Thailand, Cambodia or Vietnam. But the multicultural hub represents diverse nationalities and religions, and knowing as much as possible before visiting Singapore can help you prevent any faux pas. Here are a few things you shouldn’t do when visiting Singapore.

South America is home to some of the world’s most unique and fascinating wildlife. Between the mountains of Patagonia and the stunning paradise islands, there’s no shortage of adventures to be had.

Leave Troublesome Rideshare Worries Behind

We can see it now and remember when it happened to us: Watching as the black car icon loops around and around, seemingly endlessly, and our wait time on the rideshare app continually changes. Long wait times and confused drivers are just a few bothersome issues that can nag at rideshare users. Need a solution? Ditch rideshares altogether in favor of renting a car on your next trip.

Rustic Canyon, Los Angeles

Santa Monica, California, has such an incredible array of restaurants and bars, it can be difficult to choose one. Rustic Canyon on Wilshire Boulevard makes it easy to decide; the restaurant manages to clearly set itself apart from the rest.
