July 4th Events
Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown host a variety of special events and programs for Independence Day. Kick off the day in Williamsburg with a reading of the Declaration of Independence on the courthouse steps. There will be a fireworks show at 9 p.m. at the Governor’s Palace. Yorktown hosts 8K and 5K races in the morning, followed by a patriot parade. That night, head to the Riverwalk Landing for a concert.
June 28–Aug. 11, take part in the theme park’s summer concert series. The series includes a pyrotechnics show and performances by stars of America’s Got Talent.
This month-long program in Jamestown includes interactive experiences and exhibits honoring the 400th anniversary of the first representative legislative assembly in 1619. The program is available throughout the month of July.
