Anyone who’s been saving for a big trip has heard the advice to just cut out extra costs where you can in order to save more, like your daily coffee habit. But what if you could actually work toward your next trip by drinking that coffee? That’s what a new partnership between Starbucks and Delta Air Lines could do for you.

As of October, travelers who are both Delta SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards members can link their accounts on a dedicated website. From there, travelers earn one Delta SkyMiles mile for every $1 spent at Starbucks (on eligible purchases). Additionally, if you have a flight with Delta, you’ll earn double Starbucks Rewards Stars on Starbucks purchases made the day of your flight.  If you hurry and link your two accounts before the end of 2022, you’ll also receive an extra 500 free Delta SkyMiles miles, as well as 150 Starbucks Stars after you make a qualifying purchase. If you’re a Delta SkyMiles Diamond or Platinum member, you’ll further receive the option to choose 4,000 Starbucks Stars as one of your annual membership benefits in 2024.

So, in other words, you can keep drinking your Starbucks without guilt, knowing you’re working toward your next flight with Delta with every coffee purchase.
