Taiwan created a unique tourist attraction: a commuter bus converted into a “forest” full of greenery and flowers. The bus is currently traveling around Taipei, giving passengers a ride on moss-covered seats. It’s become an Instagram sensation thanks to the lush surroundings inside.
The forest bus is a welcome alternative to a commute usually packed with people — not plants. The bus is running through an area of the city packed with tourists thanks to its major museums, but it’s also a welcome sight for downtown workers, too. The bus is a temporary installation, but residents are hoping its popularity will propel the city to make it permanent.
Local florist Alfie Lin packed the bus with moss, orchids, ginger lilies and more. “They can smell the scent of summer on the bus and see the vibrant green plants to feel messages from nature,” he told Agence France-Presse.
