Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

Wild Terrains offers new women-only small group trips to Portugal starting in September, to meet the demand of female-only trips, whether those be female-only family trips or treks with like-minded strangers. Women account for nearly two-thirds of the world’s travelers today and help fuel the global travel economy.

Wild Terrains, launched just last year, connects creative women from around the world while simultaneously supporting female entrepreneurs, artists, chefs and more. Wild Terrains prides itself on being the only travel company offering women-only group trips that partner exclusively with female-owned businesses. Portugal is Wild Terrains’ second destination following its Mexico City itineraries.

Now, travelers get the chance to visit Portugal with two group trips, Sept. 4–11 and Sept. 28–Oct. 5. The eight-day, seven-night journeys take women across Lisbon, Alentejo and Porto, where they discover the country’s history, culinary traditions and nature.

During the trip, women stay at female-owned hotels, discover street art by female artists, dine at women-owned restaurants, taste wine from female winemakers, take mixology classes, bike through the countryside, visit local markets and take lots of tours accompanied by female experts.

The rates for these Portugal itineraries start at $2,950 per person, which includes accommodations, most meals, transportation, gratuities and all activities. Groups are limited to 10 travelers. Book your trip quickly; currently, all of Wild Terrains’ Mexico City itineraries are sold out for the remainder of 2019. Mexico City 2020 trip dates will be announced in the near future.

Leave Troublesome Rideshare Worries Behind

We can see it now and remember when it happened to us: Watching as the black car icon loops around and around, seemingly endlessly, and our wait time on the rideshare app continually changes. Long wait times and confused drivers are just a few bothersome issues that can nag at rideshare users. Need a solution? Ditch rideshares altogether in favor of renting a car on your next trip.
