As the holiday season approaches you may wonder where you may enjoy your turkey and stuffing. Try a new experience this year by eating your meal at the historic Plimouth Plantation.
This unforgettable dining experience celebrates the beginning of America in Plymouth, Massachusetts. For $100 per adult, you can be immersed in the story of Thanksgiving as Pilgrim role players and Native interpreters greet you. All Native employees are actual Wampanoag people, dressed in historically accurate clothing they proudly display.
Your meal includes the usual turkey dinner with all the fixings, lobster bisque soup, wood-pressed cider, and an assortment of desserts that include Indian pudding, homemade pumpkin pie and apple pie. Tickets also include two-day admission to the large, living museum.
The museum is made up of five separate locations. The Wampanog Homesite has Native people manning the site as they would have in the 17th century, creating clothing, gardening, gathering natural resources and building homes. The English Village has role-playing actors who fully embody a person from the 17th century. These actors interact with guests as they would during that time, ignorant to the present-day technology that they may accuse you of being a witch for using. Other parts of the museum include the Plimoth Grist Mill, Nye Barn and Craft Center
This popular event sells out quickly as visitors come from all over the world. Sales begin in May for members and June for non-members.
