The First Luxury Tented Resort in Central America

Nayara Hotels, the brand which brought luxury glamping to Costa Rica, has now planned the first luxury tented resort for the region. Nayara Tented Camp opens next fall.

Sister property to Nayara Resort, Spa & Gardens and Nayara Springs, the tented camp will be made up of 18 luxury tents. Each tent includes a master suite and an en-suite bathroom with an outdoor shower. Outside the tent, guests enjoy a raised platform with a living area and plunge pool (filled with water from the area’s hot springs). There will be an option to connect two tents for larger travel groups.

Common areas in the resort will include a swim-up bar and family pool, as well as an Asian restaurant. For more dining, guests can go to the Nayara Springs or Nayara Resort, Spa & Gardens offerings nearby. Activities will include zip lining, rafting and nature adventures.

This, however, is just the first phase of the tented resort planned for opening in 2019. The second phase of the development will include a spa. Until the second phase is unveiled, guests can use the spa and wellness facilities at either Nayara Springs or Nayara Resort, Spa & Gardens. Access between all three properties is made available via golf carts.

The destination is immersive, with thick jungle cover and abundant wildlife, including 400 bird species in the surrounding Arenal Rainforest. Getting there is easy, though, as all three resorts are only a few hours’ drive from Costa Rica’s San Jose (SJO) airport and just a 30-minute private plane flight.
