The Standard Hotels celebrates its 25th anniversary just as it prepares to open The Standard, Singapore this month. The unique urban retreat in the heart of the Lion City will meld the city’s heritage with the brand’s identity.
Located on Orange Grove Road, The Standard, Singapore enjoys an enviable location near Singapore Botanic Gardens and the Orchard Road shopping district. The design and concept embody Singapore’s “City in a Garden” vision and blend East and West. The Standard’s in-house design team, led by Verena Heller, collaborated with design firm Ministry of Design on the hotel’s aesthetic.
The hotel boasts 143 guestrooms over eight floors, all featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the pool and the area’s lush surroundings. For dining, The Standard, Singapore offers Kaya at The Standard, a reimagined izakaya experience boasting regional ingredients; Kaya Bar, for evening; and Café Standard, serving all-day American fare, natural wines and craft beers.
Unique spaces at the hotel include the serene The Garden, which spans the first and second floors; The Pool, set against Singapore’s equatorial sunsets; art installations; curated landscape elements; and uniforms designed by Shone Puipia, a Thai luxury wear brand.
The Standard, Singapore joins other The Standard properties in Hua Hin and Bangkok.
