Ever wonder which airlines are most likely to arrive at destinations on time? The results are in from air travel data company OAG and they’ve ranked the world’s most punctual airlines.
The biannual list includes 125 airlines from all over the world and constitutes “on-time” as a flight that lands no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled arrival time. Data collected was from flights that took place between June 2018 and May 2019.
The world’s top on-time airline is Garuda Indonesia, the national airline of Indonesia, which arrived on time 91.6 percent of the time. Second place went to Fuji Dream Airlines, followed by Copa Airlines (Panama).
In the United States, the top-ranking airline was Hawaiian Airlines with an on-time arrival percentage of 87.8 percent and an award of five stars. Rounding out the top five were Delta Airlines (83.4 percent), Alaska Airlines (80.7 percent), Spirit Airlines (80.4 percent) and Cape Air (79.9 percent).
The largest jump in the rankings also went to Cape Air, which moved from 11th place in 2018 to fifth place in 2019. Based in Massachusetts, the airline serves Boston and Cape Cod, as well as regional flights in the Caribbean, Midwest and Montana.
Truly immersing yourself in a foreign culture is one of the main reasons to travel, whether you’re learning a local dance or sipping wine with a vineyard owner in Italy. Traveling outside your comfort zone also involves sampling local cuisine, but if you’re visiting a major city like Rome or Paris, eating like a local usually means stepping far out of the city center, where eateries tend to cater to unadventurous tourists. But finding a worthy eatery can hog hours of your trip time as you pore over listings on TripAdvisor or Yelp.
Folding, rolling or vacuum packing — there are plenty of methods for packing so you can get the maximum amount of items in your bag, but no matter how you choose to do it, you are always faced with wrinkly clothes when you are ready to wear them.
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is the largest airline in Japan. With flights from the United States to Japan and all of Asia, it's the perfect airline to book your next trip with. From ANA's amazing in-flight food to its excellent customer service, it comes as no surprise ANA has been awarded five stars for its seventh consecutive year by the SKYTRAX World Airline Rating.
