Sandboarding
Similar to snowboarding or sledding, sandboarding is a fun activity. The board is just like a snowboard and it allows you to glide down the slopes. It might take some time to get the hang of it, but soon you’ll be able to make it down smoothly.

Overnight in the Desert
Many companies offer luxury overnight stays in the desert. You can go “glamping” with luxury tented-style villas where staff brings traditional food to your tents. Relax in comfort and watch the sunset and sunrise over the desert.

Camel Ride
The most common activity in the desert is camel rides. These unique animals offer an immersive experience. Camels are practically synonymous with deserts and no trip to the desert is complete without a ride.

Dune Bashing
This activity is more on the extreme side and perfect for adrenaline junkies. An experienced driver will take you and your friends out for a wild ride on the dunes. They make cars do exciting spins and plunges over the dunes.

Desert Sailing
An interesting way to see the sand dunes of the desert is seated on a converted sail cart. Go as fast or as slow as the winds carry you while you explore. The desert is a vast area and sailing through it is a great way to feel like you’re a desert native.

How to Explore Neuschwanstein Castle

Most people know Neuschwanstein Castle as Walt Disney’s inspiration for both Cinderella’s and Sleeping Beauty’s castles, but it is also filled with history and stories from German royalty. In 1868, King Ludwig II began construction of the medieval-style castle to live in. Sadly, it wasn’t finished before he died, so the king never got to see the finished product. Today, the castle is privately owned, but travelers can still explore it on a guided audio tour.
