Beijing is the capital of China, and the most populous capital city. It has a rich history dating back three millennia. There are many great things to do and see in this city. Here is a list of the best hotels.

The Peninsula Beijing

This hotel became an all-suite property in 2016; it features palatial bathrooms, walk-in closets, Chinese artwork and tablet-operated technology. The Forbidden City is only a short stroll away. The rooftop bar opened in 2018 and is the jewel in the crown for this hotel.

Hotel Eclat

This is a unique hotel since it is located inside a shopping mall and has individually themed rooms. It is filled with contemporary art, including works by Warhol and Dali, and has some of the most playfully hip rooms and suites anywhere. Plus, there are 20 private swimming pools in the Lagoon Suites.

Hotel Jen

This hotel opened in 2017, and is the 10th property in Shangri-La’s Jen brand. It targets media-savvy millennials. It is also the fanciest, offering spacious 5-star rooms at a 4-star cost. The best guestrooms offer floor-to-ceiling views of the Rem Koolhaas’ landmark CCTV Tower across the street.

EAST Hotel

It is the kind of business hotel your company books; it’s clean, comfortable, well equipped and has enough style and personality to make coming back after a day of meetings a genuine pleasure.

Vue Hotel Houhai

Vue Hotel Houhai is housed in a renovated 1950s government complex on the shore of Houhai Lake. There are 80 gorgeously attired rooms with an assortment of extras, including circular hot tubs, and voyeuristic windows that look out on neighboring courtyards. There is also a rooftop cocktail bar with a pool and DJ booth.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
