Top 5 / Europe

Brussels is an architecturally rich city with a great wealth of history to discover. Though not Belgium’s most popular destination, it offers the most bang for your buck if you’re a museum lover. Check out these five museums for a wonderful experience.

Museum of Brussels City

The Museum of Brussels City is the best way to get an understanding of the social, political and economic history of the region. With three floors to discover it can take an entire morning to explore. Be sure to check out the 100 costumes of the Mannekin Pis and the legend of the Peeing Boy.

Royal Museum of Fine Arts Belgium

The Royal Museum sits atop the Mont des Arts and displays a fascinating collection of both historical and modern art. With a heavy focus on Belgian artists, you’ll find many of the featured works done right here in Brussels. The museum is known for its human society exhibits.

The Musical Instrument Museum

Perhaps the most fascinating museum in Brussels, the MIM boasts more than 8,000 instruments nestled inside its steel and glass walls. Not only are the instruments a work of art, but so is the architecture. The audio guide plays compositions of music of each instrument you come across as you go along.

Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate

Who doesn’t love chocolate? Brussels is famous for its delicious chocolate confections, particularly pralines. The Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate features live demonstrations of the chocolate-making process with a master chocolatier, along with information on the origin of the cocoa bean.

BELvue Museum

The BELvue Museum resides in what was once a palace, previously converted into a hotel before finally becoming a museum. The architecture itself is a wonderful work of art. The history thoroughly details the history of Belgium dating 1830 to the present day. It’s a must for history buffs.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
