Popularly known as NGV, the museum is the oldest and largest art museum in Australia. The collection boasts more than 73,000 pieces of art. The museum is open daily and entrance is free.
This museum dedicated to all things Australian sports is located at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The collection includes everything from Olympics memorabilia to interactive exhibits. Keep in mind: The museum is undergoing extensive renovations and will reopen in February 2020.
