Guadalajara’s vibrant atmosphere and delicious foodie scene made it one of the most popular destinations in Mexico. With incredible options around every corner, it’s difficult to nail down the best of the best, but we think these restaurants come pretty close.
Visitors might be surprised to find Guadalajara’s food scene draws heavily on French influence. No restaurant exemplifies this better than Entre 2. Drawing from French tradition, the menu is designed to be shared between two and offers a strong Franco-Mexican list of cuisines.
Café P’al Real offers one of the best restaurants in Guadalajara. The café’s array of chilaquiles and pancakes make them the perfect choice for a hearty breakfast. Be sure to sample the delicious pancita lonches – or drowned sandwiches.
One might not think of burgers as a Mexican staple, but in Guadalajara residents flock to Pig’s Pearls to fill up on them everyday. With options like the double queso burger and bacon pesto burger, there’s a little something for everyone. They offer a wide array of unique and quirky combinations.
Santo Coyote will bring pain to your pocketbook, but the savory selections on this menu are worth the hurt. Chef Joaquin Rodriguez serves up an impressive and eclectic menu of Mexican-Criollo fusion food among a lively atmosphere featuring music and dance.
El Patio wants you to feel like you’re at home. With a focus on a family experience, the restaurant serves classic Mexican dishes like chilaquiles and tacos in a setting that resembles a Guadalajaran home. They also have a beautiful garden area where you can enjoy live mariachi music while you eat.
