The Penn Museum, more formally known as The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, is located on the University of Pennsylvania’s campus in Philadelphia.
The museum houses art and artifacts from ancient Egypt, Greece, Italy, Mesopotamia, Asia, Africa and the Americas in its world-renowned collection. The Penn Museum is home to the Sphinx of Ramses II, the largest sphinx in the Western Hemisphere. In addition to its permanent galleries and exhibits, the museum features temporary exhibits covering diverse subjects.
The museum saw new gallery openings and other renovations in 2019, as part of the expansive, ongoing Building Transformation Campaign. Updates from 2019 include 10,000 square feet of new visitor space, new exhibits devoted to Africa, Mexico and Central America and auditorium renovations.
The museum is a perfect destination for visitors of all ages. It hosts special programming for children often. Check the calendar of events.
Adult admission costs $18. Children under 6 years old can visit for free. Buy your tickets online and save $2. The museum is closed on Monday and major holidays.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network.
