Staying connected to the internet using a mobile connection, staying secure and having a viable GPS seem like a few tasks you would definitely need more than a single device for. The Track and Shield from Cabeau brings all this functionality and more to a single device.

The device is loaded with features to ensure anyone traveling will have what they need. The device has true GPS tracking, which can pinpoint an item’s location in real time to within 10 feet, programming options that alert users when bags and items have been loaded on a plane or removed from a hotel room, smart lock capabilities that alert users whenever a lock is tampered with or removed, and automatic flight modes, where the device automatically enters airplane mode.

The machine is small, coming in at three ounces and is easily attached to bags or your person. The device communicates with an app to let users know exactly where belongings are. The app lets users track 10 separate devices.

In addition to tracking personal belongings, the device is able to communicate in times of otherwise strained communication, like during natural disasters. The device operates outside normal cellular networks and can send programmed messages by pressing a button more than three times in three seconds.

The Track and Shield lets users track what is most important to them in a secure way. The gadget is currently available on Indiegogo for $99. It will retail for $199 when it launches later this year.
