Scotland’s Fish Shop in D.C.’s The Wharf
Scotland’s Michelin–lauded Fish Shop made its U.S. debut in Washington, D.C.’s, Wharf development. Artfarm’s third restaurant in the United States serves ethically sourced fish from day- and short-trip boats, as well as creel-caught and hand-dived crustacea.

Cantina Restaurant in Menorca, Spain
Menorca’s Hauser & Wirth gallery, this summer, presents Cindy Sherman: The Women, a new exhibition from the pioneering American artist.
Also on the island is sea-facing Cantina restaurant. Menorcan gastronomy is reimagined with a sustainable, hyper-local twist. Cantina’s olive-shaded terrace will host the Sunday Concerts series, with live performances on four select dates through Oct. 26.

Literary Festival & Fashion Festival at Fife Arms
Fife Arms, a beloved summer escape, will be magical to visit in September when the village of Braemar hosts the historic Highland Games and the third-annual Braemar Literary Festival, created in collaboration with Her Majesty Queen Camilla’s Reading Room.
Nov. 7–9, the hotel once again hosts the Fife Arms Festival of Fashion, gathering key creative leaders from across the industry.

Under a new decree signed Nov. 3, 2025, Americans traveling with valid U.S. passports are now (as of Jan. 1, 2026) able to stay in Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days. This long-awaited move has now opened the heart of the Silk Road to a new wave of travelers. And it seems travelers are ready: The experts at Wild Frontiers, a tour operator specializing in adventure travel, have seen U.S. bookings to the Silk Road region surge with Uzbekistan leading that growth. As of mid-December 2025, bookings to Uzbekistan were up 20 percent year on year, while Silk Road bookings overall were up 25 percent.
