Provo, Utah, is the state’s third-largest city. Located on Utah Lake, it is known for its abundance of outdoor activities. There is plenty to see and do for less than $100 a day.

 

Start your day with breakfast at Waffle Love. Choose from sweet or savory options ranging $4–9. There are several other locations and food trucks throughout Utah, plus locations in Arizona, California, Idaho and Texas. Menu items vary by location. Go for a walk through Rock Canyon. The canyon features trails, caves, wildlife and unique geological formations.

 

Enjoy lunch at Molly’s. The comfort food restaurant offers homemade items from barbecue brisket to tomato pie. Entrées start around $7. Check out The Shops at Riverwoods. The shopping and entertainment destination features restaurants, boutiques and lifestyle experiences. There are also special events year-round.

 

Provo is home to Brigham Young University. There are several museums on the university’s campus. Visit the Brigham Young University Museum of Art. The museum features exhibition galleries, a theater and auditorium and other spaces for educational activities and events. Admission is free. Closed Sunday.

 

Have dinner at Black Sheep Café. The restaurant specializes in southwestern Native American cooking. The eclectic menu boasts a variety of tacos, burgers, soups and salads. Entrées start around $20. Grab a nightcap at ABG’s Bar. The bar offers a large beer and spirits menu and hosts live music.
